Effram Winstead (CLASS)
CLASS is the stage name of Effram Winstead, a former member of MG Music Group. His music ministry has taken him to several states and the UK. He is a faithful member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church in Roxboro, NC, and shares life with his wife and their five children.
He started rapping at a young age, coming up during the Gangster Rap Era, where he flourished as one of his hometown favorites with witty, wordy lyrics depicting the street life he portrayed.
Ultimately, that life took over and cost him his first marriage, along with a long list of failures and regrets. He eventually turned his life over to the Lord and began living on the straight and narrow.
He won the 2023 Dunamis Gospel Award for Holy Hip Hop Artist of the Year. He has also attended and performed at several International Gospel Music Summits across the U.S. and in London, England.
